Overview of Graduate Programs

The Faculty of Nursing at King Abdulaziz University offers a Master's program in Nursing Science. The program was developed and accredited by the Council of King Abdulaziz University in the third meeting of the academic year 1431/1432H, with decision number D/056997/32 dated 22/05/1432H corresponding to April 17, 2011.


The Master's program in Nursing Science includes four tracks:

  • Medical-Surgical Nursing.
  • Maternal and Child Health Nursing.
  • Nursing Management.
  • Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing.
Program Mission:

Excellence in Nursing science to enrich the community with nurse specalists, educators, researchers and leaders.

To achieve excellence in an innovative and creative environment that serves various sectors of healthcare for different individuals in the community with high quality.


Program Goals:
  • Providing nursing care based on evidence and scientific views in the field of specialization.
  • Contribute to raising the health awareness of the community through awareness programs.
  • Participate in planning and evaluating the healthcare system.
  • Conduct applied research that contributes to the development of nursing healthcare.
  • Participate in the professional development of the nursing sector to keep pace with modern challenges in the field of health care through continuing education programs
