Emergency Nursing Department

Department Overview

The Emergency Nursing Department is a subdivision of the Intensive Care Nursing Department, which became an independent department within the Faculty of Nursing in (2022). The department aims to prepare nursing professionals who excel academically and in research in emergency nursing. It focuses on training outstanding nurses who can provide high-quality care to patients in various emergency, trauma, and disaster situations.

Objectives

  • Ensure high academic standards in emergency nursing education through well-structured curriculum, updated teaching methodologies, and regular curriculum reviews.
  • Enhance the clinical skills and competence of students by providing hands-on experience in emergency settings, advanced simulation labs, and exposure to diverse emergency cases.
  • Incorporate the latest advancements in healthcare technology and equipment relevant to emergency nursing into the educational curriculum to ensure students are familiar with state-of-the-art practices.
  • Promote collaboration and interaction among various healthcare disciplines to enhance interdisciplinary teamwork and provide holistic patient care in emergency settings.
  • Engage with the community to raise awareness about emergency nursing, educate the public on emergency issues, and foster partnerships to improve healthcare delivery.
