Message of the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research
It is well-known that the main tasks of a university are teaching, scientific research, and preparing and qualifying graduates to serve both the government and private sectors, as well as the community at large. Undoubtedly, postgraduate studies and scientific research are key pillars for the Faculty of Nursing, as they are primarily responsible for disseminating, renewing, and developing scientific knowledge in various human, natural, and applied fields. Given its nature, location, and role, the university is the crucible into which the scientific outcome from various programs is poured, and it is qualified and capable of leading in postgraduate studies and scientific research, as long as it possesses the basic quality units, an atmosphere of interaction, creativity, and development.
Based on these principles, the Faculty of Nursing at King Abdulaziz University has, since its inception, devoted utmost care and attention to advancing and developing postgraduate studies. It has been keen on driving the wheel of scientific, technical, and professional development in the field of nursing through the launch of the Master's program in Nursing in 1432H in four nursing specialties: Nursing Administration, Gynaecology and Obstetrics Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing, and Psychiatric Nursing. The Faculty of Nursing at King Abdulaziz University aspires to become a prominent contributor to postgraduate studies and scientific research, not only within the Kingdom but also regionally and globally.
Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research is concerned with all administrative and academic procedures related to postgraduate programs and scholarship programs for teaching assistants and lecturers, as well as matters related to faculty members in academic positions and scientific research, from peer-reviewing publications and academic promotions to attending conferences, workshops, and scientific seminars.

Deanship of graduate studies and scientific research units:
It is a unit affiliated with Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the College of Nursing. It aims to monitor and develop postgraduate programs in line with the requirements of the job market and to provide academic services to students and faculty members. The unit also strives to follow up on the educational process and supervise the theses of postgraduate students. Additionally, the unit is responsible for reviewing scientific research and ensuring its compliance with the standards and ethics of scientific research through the Scientific Research Ethics Committee.
Objectives of the Unit:
Monitor the establishment and development of graduate programs
Provide educational services to master's students
Facilitate administrative procedures for students and faculty members (such as scholarships, facilitating research tasks, booking a defense room, reserving a classroom, gathering information, conducting surveys)
Monitor the academic and supervisory status of students
Prepare orientation and awareness week at the college
