There is no doubt that the revolution in the field of healthcare has led to considerable developments both in education and scientific research, hence the importance of post graduate studies as a means to keep abreast with advances in the global arena. Postgraduate study in the field of nursing in the Middle East is a new phase of educational attainment which aims to qualify future generations of nurse specialists and nurses researchers in order to face these scientific and technological changes.
The Faculty of Nursing, King Abdul Aziz University, Jeddah has developed a program leading to a Masters in Nursing Sciences. The ultimate aim of this program, which is evidence-based on national standards and research, is to create work environments that are collaborative, interdisciplinary and functioning effectively in diverse challenging and complex nursing and healthcare situations. The Master’s Degree program will produce highly qualified nurses who are equipped with research and clinical based competence and expertise.
The program gives the degree of Master in Nursing Sciences in the following disciplines:
1. Medical and Surgical Nursing.
2. Obstetrics and Gynecologic Nursing.
3. Nursing Administration.
4. Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing.
